The sunset bathed the sky in its orange light, and the land glowed a warm tone from the reflected light off the clouds.

Everything was in warm, toned down, orange. I meant everything. It just so happen that I was walking into my kitchen to grab some sweets and I saw what outside was like. Nice! And pretty! So I grabbed my camera and hurried outside to snap afew shots. Didn’t want to go too far in case I missed this golden moment, I quickly found a spot and took afew shots of the beautiful colour the sunset gave to the hills and land. And within 5 mins … the warm orange tone turned to grey, dull and boring shadows.

October 10th, A most auspicious day

A Most Auspicious Day … according to some

This sounds like fun to do! Basically, take a photo on October 10th, 2010 and whenever you’re ready, upload your photo(s) to the Flickr group TenTenTen. The pool will open from 10th – 20th Oct, so ten days to upload your photo(s). Then from Oct 11th onwards hchamp.com will randonly choose a photo from the group to display on their site. Sounds cool!

I think I might join in … πŸ™‚

I had alot of fun doing this. A day with a beautiful family and spending time with them. I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Click on the above image to view the set.

… exciting things have happened lately in the past few weeks/months. Just thinking back to them now, it feels like time flew by leaving only memories and pictures as proof that I was along with the ride. But I couldn’t ask for a better past few weeks / months. They were AWESOME! Travelling, wedding, travelling, family photoshoot and fashion photoshoot. And later on, more travelling! Though only interstates but it’s different to where I am. Rediscover a place I’ve been before and going to new places bring alot of excitement and a breath of freshness to my world of boredom at work. Yes, with work being the same everyday, politics going on left, right and centre, it’s all getting abit too much. I want out! I want to be away from here. I want something new. Travelling is my escape … at least for a few days. And hopefully I’d be refreshed to last until my next trip πŸ™‚ But besides work, it was all exciting and my first trip this year was to Sydney.

Sydney was great! Got to see my old friend Noel and Siew again, and we hung out. Cathing up on what we’ve done since my wedding day afew months back. Went out to a great restaurant and seeing more of Sydney than before. Sydney has so much more to offer and thoughts of moving to Sydney have crossed my mind. After settling into my new place, it’s hard to just leave again and not enjoy the new place at the very least for a year or two. I didn’t feel like moving everything to a new place. I wanted to just relax, be in my comfort zone for awhile and soak in the new place I have bought together with my wife.Β  I wanted calmness and I got it in this place. 3 days in Sydney and back again to Adelaide. But not for long … (more…)

My Photographic Goals for 2010

1. Don’t leave my camera. I have it with me all the time πŸ™‚

2. Shoot a Photo a Day. I’m trying and will try to shoot a Photo a Day. (I do shoot a photo a day, but they may not be worthy of showing. So may be ‘Shoot a worthy Photo a Day’?)

3. Enter more competitions. It’s good fun and may win something.

4. Create a photo book a month. Already started creating my personal portfolio. Maybe will try to create the photo book. See how.

5. Challenge myself with flash lighting. This is another world of photography I’m getting myself into.

6. Follow a regular photo blog-posting schedule. I’m posting on a regular basis. Usually once a week (or more), dropping my thoughts down on a blog with pictures and descriptions (https://imagesbytimc.wordpress.com) (more…)

She got it yesterday. She is so excited she has one now, that she can play and practice again. She missed her piano dearly and was quite eager to get back to it. Bringing her old music books out and looking at new ones. I was happy for her too that she gets to play her favourite instrument. I have great music to listen to now and look forward to listen to new ones she has or will have πŸ™‚

I should get my guitar out again …

Ever gone through a day without it ? …

Sometimes I wonder where it has all gone. After spending a month holidaying overseas, it seems it has gone quickly. And day 3 at work, I’m already thinking of my next holiday. Though looking at the first quarter of the year, I can see afew long weekends – Australia day, Easter, Anzac Day. Woo hoo! Work is good and interesting, but I still like my holidays. And look forward to those upcoming ones.

Since coming back to Adelaide, it has been great settling back in. Catching up with all my friends and seeing them again has been wonderful. I missed them while I was away. Quite afew things have changed. Good changes. And afew good news aswell!! Which I am and still am thrilled to hear and know. Now getting back to my routines and my weekly meet ups with them will be just great. I just like to have a few weeks of ‘normal’ after a while of travelling and doing new things. I love doing all of that. But I also like abit of calm πŸ™‚

Right … I should get back to work. Look forward to 5pm πŸ˜›

Today, is the last day of my holiday in Kuala Lumpur. That means it’s the end of my holiday, or near the end, and that means I will be back at work soon. Back to reality πŸ™‚Β  This past month I have been enjoying my time off very much. I haven’t had such a long holiday and not worry about work, house, what house work to finish next and so on. Living in my brother-in-law’s place here has got me to forget everything back in Adelaide for a while and just enjoy myself, with family and friends here. Now that I have to start packing my stuff to get ready for my flight tonight, I’m beginning to miss the family and friends I have and have met here. It was wonderful seeing them again after not seeing my friends for a long time. I miss the time where we just hang out back in Adelaide and had a great time and lots of laughs together. Since their uni days, all of us have gone about our own ways and we only hope we can meet each other again when we are in the same city. (more…)

Right! I need to remind you guys that when I say I’ll post more pictures tomorrow, I meant when I’m available to blog next. My time on a computer while I’m on holidays is a little scarce as I’m either out and about, gone shopping or making most of my time travelling to another town to see what they are like. So I promise I will blog again when I get to a computer πŸ™‚ So now is another time slot I get to blog. So more photos of the places I’ve been too. Hehe ..

The next 2 photos were taken at a place called Ipoh, north of Kuala Lumpur. We went to visit my Uncle & Auntie there and also Ipoh’s eateries were very well known to Malaysians to be the best. I wasn’t disappointed at all. The food was glorious and every corner we went to, or when Uncle and Auntie took us, there were bound to have eateries that were well known to have the best sort of food they specialise in. Dumplings, desserts, coffees (they are different to Australia’s), drinks, etc. I’ve never eaten so much in my life. It was just food galore! I’ve never been so full. These were food that I can’t get back in Australia. I was making the most of it. (more…)
